diwali : this year was on nov 5th.we were heavily jet lagged and that totally worked in our favor !! family, food and fire crackers throughout the night, with a view of the fashion institute in navi mumbai was perfect !
shatabdi : mumbai to bharuch is about a four hours train ride. we boarded in the early hours. the train is clean, they serve quality food (a lot) and the seats are perfect for obese mammals (leb)..!!
we chanced upon a mumbai sunrise…!!
breakfast: is the most important meal of the day, and on some mornings,… best with an antacid !!
dam : damn, …..the sardar sarovar dam and narmada look awesome !!
at any hour of the day … !!
crows: do not remember seeing even one of these in all my years of stay in the americas
tirupati: is always crowded and busy with tirumala devotees.we found a place to stay, close to the bus stand, with a view of the hills !!
sunrise ‘n’ sunset : is probably when the day looks best, no matter which part of the world !!
photographs : all the photographs were shot with a 8.1 mp digital camera and there was no Photo Shop editing done to enhance quality. If you liked the photographs and would like to use any of them, please be kind to acknowledge the source.
welcome back to blogosphere LEB. So u seem to be having fun all aroun India, eyeing fashionistas, seeking Almighty’s approval for ur Sins an chasing village Belles.
Thankoo P 🙂 If by the village belles you mean the “kaa kaa” company, yes I was. It took me a whole minute to capture the two in the same frame. As for the sins, I shall need a frequent flier pass to get them nullified. 😉
Hey LEB,
there was so much of India in the pics, especially the samosas!!
tc
Thank you. I wish I had more pictures. Often times, I would spot something but would not have the camera on me to click. The samosas and pakoras were swell !! 🙂
Hi! am back from my blogging break!
Just saw the pics again…. awesome….
I know, this happens with me too, when I find something amazing, I don’t have a camera. and when I have, I go mad clicking pics, even the ordinary becomes special then. If u get time, see the ordinariness of life post on my blog.
tc, and it’s feeling good to come back here LEB!
RESTLESS
Will do. Thanks again for your kind words. Your visit is most appreciated. 🙂
Hahaa…loved and agreed to what u said about that Nashta…reminded me of the serious bowel upset that i had when i greedily hogged Fafda and those deep fried green green chillies…on my way to Sasan Gir. i would’ve eaten 7-8 of those chillies…and i guess that did it.
Of course later had to resort to antacid…pudin hara and Eno.
Ditto Shivani. And I chewed on a lot of paan. As for the bowels, let’s just say, there hardly a moment of rest. 😉 because of the unpredictable “motions” …. (yikes). But that did not stop me. I tasted snacks at as many joints on highways as my colon would allow. 🙂
Loved your Narmada captures, especially the sunset one.
That artery clogging breakfast…don’t tell me you had it!
Thank you Purba. I wish I had taken more pictures there. But my camera batteries died right after the sun set shot 😦 I did too. I am a committed road side foodie and probably one of the biggest consumer of ENO !! 🙂
ah, road side food is… amazing!
T’is … most definitely 🙂
nicey nice fotos..loved the contrats of the last image and that dam one too…Great
Hey Nish. So glad to see you back on the blog. Thanks for your comments. The last image is probably my favorite in the deck. Only because I did not do anything myself to enhance the effect.
Samosas and Pakoras for breakfast ?? How has your mild-breakfast-US-style-stomach adapted so quickly ?
It has not. 🙂 But a fatty has to do what he has to do. So I have been oblivious to the stares from family and have devoted my life to street food and stocking up on some heavy duty “binding” pills 😉 if you know what I mean 🙂
mmmmmm. The Blogueur is having fun, it appears. Hip Hip Hurray
Thanks Ramesh. The work week is about to begin soon. 🙂
How much have you travelled in just a few weeks!
The plate used for the ‘breakfast’ reminds me of ‘my’ plate back home.
You seem like you’re back from a country where you got plenty of edible items but very little food!
why this pic change?
Yep … we touched a lot of places in the last few weeks. Yep, I have a plate like that too. You could say that. Nothing I ate in the last ten years really touched the taste buds. Just got bored of the monster face 🙂
Hey same pinch am also back 2 India and those are lovely pics 🙂
You didn’t see crows in US very bad … I saw them everyday in Japan 🙂
Hey Shlipa… welcome back to the blog. Sorry I was so busy could not even check comments and respond. Glad to know you are back too. 🙂
nice captures…hope u had a gr8 vacation…
Any plans to be back?
